Today, I went to Hanging Rock state park and I had an awesome time!  I climbed up and down bunches of steps and slippery rocks and played in the waterfalls.  It was such a beautiful day!  We hiked down this one trail and it had so many steps….but what was at the bottom was amazing…it was a big waterfall with a wading/swimming pool at the bottom…a dog oasis.  I almost immediately spotted one of my favorite things floating in the water…it was a tennis ball!  I quickly swam out to it and brought it back.  I played so many games of fetch swimming out to get that ball…it was so fun and refreshing.  I really didn’t want leave and when it was time to go I just couldn’t leave my new found treasure there.  So I took the tennis ball home with me. 

Whoa…where have I been…I haven’t posted since December. I’ve been having too much fun I guess – especially since last week was my birthday!!! I celebrated a little bit every day last week it seemed. First, I got a Birthday card in mail from my Grandma – it had $5 bucks inside and instructions to take me out for breakfast at Biscuitville. I’m still waiting for my breakfast of bacon and bone shaped biscuits. Next, my friend Kip came and played fetch with me – which was so much fun. Then, mom’s boyfriend brought me these super awesome treats called Frosty Paws. Frosty paws are awesome! This past weekend was when all the celebrating really began. It was “all about Trevor” weekend at the beach! First – we picked up my cake at Coastal K9 Bakery. I get a cake there every year and I got a Pumpkin Cinnamon flavored one this year.

We grabbed a bite to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and I got to eat outside on the patio – then we headed to the beach. I had so much fun playing frisbee and running up and down the beach.

Then we decided to take the ferry to Southport. We had to wait for the ferry to come and we had a great time just sitting together and watching the boats.

We fed the seagulls on the ferry and once in Southport we walked around a little bit – got some candy and ice cream and headed to Oak Island. Oak Island is awesome – I played more frisbee, chase, and dug in the sand. We sat together and watched the sun go down…it was so nice.  We also visited the USS NC Battleship.  It was huge! 

We all had the best time at the beach – our most favorite visit so far.  So good we may go back soon – this time there will be Carolina Beach donuts involved and I was promised a taste!  Best birthday yet!

We had a slumber party last night and my friend Kip got to stay too! We had so much fun playing inside and out and even got our own grilled chicken breasts for dinner :

Kip learned some new tricks while she was here – she learned high 5 and almost learned to bow – she’s a fast learner. We had fun!

What we are thankful for this year:
-Good health for me and my loved ones.
-Good quality dog food
-My house and a yard to play hide and go seek in.
-Kong donut – most awesome toys ever.
-Bark Park and hiking trails.
-New doggie friends
-I know my Mom is thankful for an amazing once in a lifetime trip she got to go on-but I didn’t get to go. We are going to the beach soon – I haven’t been since my b-day in March- so I’m also thankful for that.

I’m finally home and I’m mad…I was tricked.  I was told I couldn’t go vacation because, “Dogs can’t get passports.”  I would get my own special vacation…she called “camp”.  I saw the photos and “camp” is nothing like this! 

What’s up with that! I love kayaking.  Then, I was told I couldn’t go because it was too dangerous and I would get eaten by these.

I saw many beautiful photos of things I missed out on…but the thing that makes the most furious is that I was cheated on … and I have proof.
I was told she only petted him because she missed me. He only spoke French so it was purely a petting relationship but I’m not risking her cheating again ..and I boycott “camp”….I’M GOING NEXT TIME!

Here is what I got with my winnings for being a Kmart finalist in the Picture Perfect Pet contest. My person can no longer even think twice about my expensive tastes in dog food – I have officially earned my keep. Now, in the photo I’m doing what I do best – looking cute!!! Although, I haven’t taken a bath in….. errr…..about a month. I am in no way going to actually mow in the hot weather – that is for the person and I wear a fur sweater for goodness sakes.  I’ll just lay on the porch and watch like a punk! Hehe.

I will also be appearing in a Kmart ad sometime in November or December so keep an eye on your newspapers.
